I was waiting for an activation email that never came but decided to try logging in and sure enough it worked.

Hi everyone!

Sold my SMR 450 to Erich Schmidt a couple weeks ago and he mentioned the forum was back!

I mostly lurked on the old forum but always tried to make Wednesdays at Murray’s Tavern.

You all rode fast and wild and I took baby steps since motorcycling was all new to me at age 25. I progressed into motorcycling with a Ninja 250, then a cruiser, then a supermoto and so forth. About the time I was ready to ride with the group, it all vanished. I don’t do Facebook so that was that.

Last gathering I made it to was a big ass party at Fly Trippers place on 915. Not sure if that was the bbq or the acetylene bomb, or if they were the same night? One party he had in summertime, I woke up in Shannon’s car in a field with the alarm going off! The other I think was the pig roast in winter and I rode outta there on my FZ6 while it was snowing.

Lotsa bikes since then, and lots of travel. I made friends on ADVrider.com and got into sport touring. Between 2016 and now I’ve been coast to coast and done about a dozen fly-and-rides as a means to burn thru vacation time and snatch up good deals when possible.

Nothing quite like buying the bike you’ve been watching for 6 months drop in price, flying to San Francisco and doing an iron butt ride to Yellowstone the first day on a bike you just bought! Also been known to buy bikes in San Antonio or Austin, go watch motoGP, ride home and post it for sale.

PS: reading above - yeah was a damn shame when I heard Knox took her life. She and I had a few dates, nothing serious. I’m not sure if that happened before or after my only sibling also took his life. Tough times there for a while. And Brooklyn is gone too? The tall Cuban dude? He was nice as hell and if I’m not mistaken, had a big family/bunch of kids? Damn

Yeah we went through a period where we were getting like 20 spammers a day registering. So I gave up and switched over to a manaul activation (I activate the users manually) so I wouldn't have to delete so many spam posts anymore.

There's no good solution here. I guess I could send out emails, but I don't want to spam people either.
