Repacking a 06+ R6 GYTR slip-on

You are able to order a repack kit for the GYTR slip-on through any dealer, or at many sites on the internet. I ordered Yamaha part number:
GYT-2C093-33-KT
First, you do not need to remove the cone from the end, for those curious about whats underneath it, here's a picture:

You will need to remove the end cap though:

Then remove the bolts from the other side as well. This side has a sealer on it, it's a high temperature silicone. Rocking the end piece a little can help. It may also help to push the pieces together farther to break the seal, then pull them apart.

Clean off all the old sealant at this stage. For the cone end, it's hard to get the packing out, use needle nose pliers and keep pulling the packing out until you get it out. It will probably tear into many pieces.
