Re: Well it happened...
Well my paint guy called and wanted me to stop by and look at the Harley parts to see if they had enough metallic on them. Re: Well it happened...
Well one of the few things I still haven't been able to find has been a new decal for the ignition switch. Hopefully found someone that can make one. Had to make a template to send them though (as I don't want to send in my original, that is unobtainium):

Starting the swap over to stainless bolts. On my supermoto I did this but, I left them as is. However on the Harley going to polish them so they don't stand out as much.

I don't know. I've also noticed they are kind of a pain to work on for being pretty open too.Aaron Coomer (3.504) wrote: Sat Sep 06, 2025 10:29 am why are harleys so complicated for being such low tech?
Oh well, everything you work on has its own quirks.

Re: Well it happened...
Well finally all torn down. Done, at least with the disassembly.

Now time to start some cleanup and and all sorts of other maintenance things that need done.

Couple more quick pictures. Calling it done for the weekend. Just left with the rear fender:

Don't think I ever posted pictures of the fender... This is what happens when you upgrade the brakes before the suspension:

I usually take stuff to my painter mostly ready, but on this he specifically said bring him pieces. I think I now know why. This is quite a bit of work to strip this stuff down.
